Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day this year was a pretty normal day.  I enjoyed the girls while playing outside in gorgeous weather.  They brighten my life everyday.  I can't believe how big they are getting.  Madison is starting to really keep up with Reagan.  At the same time, Reagan is becoming more patient and slowing down so that Madison can play with her.

Sister Play

I love when the girls play together.  Reagan has been waiting what seems like forever for Madison to get big enough to play with her.  Tonight, after baths they came downstairs and pulled out their baby dolls and just played together.  It was super fun to see them so happy and enjoying sister time!

Madison cautiously watching Reagan as she enters her play space.

It's always fun to use real diapers and wipes on their baby dolls.

Madison most enjoys feeding her baby.

All done Mom, I fed and strolled my baby!  Time for night, night.

September 30th; Madison's First Birthday

Madison was so cute on her actual birthday.  I picked the girls up early from school and we spent the afternoon making cupcakes.  I made Madison's favorite meal consisting of macaroni and cheese, green beans, and applesauce.  Of course the best part was the cupcakes.  Luckily, Andy just pulled in as we were getting ready to sing to her.  Both my kids can only stand to sit at the table for so long.  So I was really happy that Andy pulled up right in time.  We put a candle on her cupcake and sang.  She definitely tried to catch the fire instead of blowing it out.  We blew it out for her and she went to it.  Madison really dove into her cake eating mostly the frosting.  She was very happy!

Of course that morning, Reagan wanted to wear a special outfit just like Madison.  Then when we came home she wanted to Model in front of the camera.  I didn't mind as she looked so cute.  She is so "feminine."

The end of our morning routine.

This past Wednesday was the student's first day of class.  I have to be at work at 6:55am so this leaves Andy to dress and take the girls to school.  During the summer months, I had a routine of getting them up and playing for a little while before going to school.  I would then come back water my plants and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the Today show.  It was great!  However, these days are gone until next summer.

My last day to take the kids happened to be raining.  I planned to put Reagan in a nice outfit with nice shoes since I knew they wouldn't be going outside.  However, she realized the rain outside and insisted on wearing all her gear.  When I was trying to put on her best sandals her response was, "No mom, it's raining outside and I need my boots!"  Well, my darling you can now tell Daddy every morning what you are going to wear.
