Madison's 1st Birthday

Madison was born six days before Reagan on September 30th.  We didn't want the family to drive two weekends in a row so we had a BBQ in the afternoon after Reagan's Chick-fil-a party.  It was nice to have family time and to see my little one dive into cake.  She was more fond of the fondant and chocolate bee than the cake.  However, she eventually dove right in and got a little messy.

Madison received money for her piggy bank and these few gift from family and friends.  She also received some books not pictured and a video.  Everyday she comes home and play with her kitchen.  She loves it and knows that it is hers and not Reagan's.  The nice part about that is that Reagan also knows that it is her and now at one years old Madison has a few things that are just hers.  Up to this point, all the baby stuff including the toys have all been Reagan's.  When only one child wears and plays with things they still look brand new by the time the second child comes around.  The only problem is that the first child still thinks that they are their toys even though they don't actually play with them.  Even toys that Reagan told me to get rid of she somehow mysteriously loves when I pull them out of the attic for Madison.  Now, Madison has her kitchen and Reagan has hers.  It's a great world in the Simmons' house.
